Hello Again! So glad you dropped in! I’ve had a semi-hectic couple of days. Sometimes it just happens and I’ve got to look to God for strength, peace, and clarity. I know with His help it will all work out for my good, who knows maybe there is a lesson to be learned in all this. Anyways, today I am sharing my Bible Journaling Colossians 3:15-17 page. Also, I will be sharing a few of my thoughts on the verses too.
Colossians 3:15 – discussion
And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful. – Colossians 3:15 CSB
So this verse was written by Paul and gives us Christians instructions about living out faith in Christ. He tells us believers to live in peace, which is part of the Fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22–23)
He then reminds us that Christ is the head, and we are all part of the spiritual “body,” the church. Every believer will experience internal conflict at times, but seeking peace will help us resolve these issues.
Lastly, Paul mentions that we should always have an attitude of thanksgiving. As Christians, it’s important for us to show gratitude. Always be thankful for everything.
For me, this verse was a reminder. Even though my week has been hectic I can have peace through Christ. That the peace He gives me should rule my mood. With that, I can then be thankful, and I am very much so thankful and grateful. We have an amazing God and He’ll always be here for us.
Bible Journaling Colossians 3:15 – the page
Creating this page today was my escape and calming for me. It was another one of those pages and I just worked through, then realized I was done.
To create this page I used a napkin, printed verse strips, printed date, a project life card, a piece of a pink doily, some little sticky flat back beads. To secure everything in place I used clear matte’ gesso.
After removing the pieces I was using from the napkin I covered the page with gesso. Before it dried I placed all the napkin pieces in place and used my flat head brush to smooth everything in place.
Using my distressed beige ink pad I added some color to the verse strips. I arranged them on the project life card and secured them in place with double-sided tape. Then I added the date, verse title and then the tab at the top of my page. I really do love how this page turned out.
Bible Journaling Colossians 3:15-17 – Final Thoughts
I have a few calms in my life, you know that one thing/person that can immediately calm you by simply calling your name. My first is spending time with God, and being creative for His Glory. The second is my husband, he’s been my calm for 17 years and I am extremely grateful for that. Then my children and grandchildren. In all the chaos of this world, there is nothing like the calmness of just listening to your children/grandchildren playing.
How did God speak to you concerning this verse? Was it a reminder or a new lesson?
I hope you’ll join in and work through this Thankfulness scripture plan with me. If you decide you want to join in, make sure you use #thankfulness hashtag when you share your pages, study notes, etc.
