Bible Journaling Jeremiah 33-2-3 - #biblejournalingwithdeb

Happy Thursday! This week has blown by like I don’t know what, the weekend is upon us. I am excited because we will be going to see King and Country on Sunday! I can’t wait to share how it was with everyone next Monday. Anyways, let’s get to today’s #onmydesk happenings and our Bible Journaling Jeremiah 33:2-3 discussion and creative page.

Bible Journaling Jeremiah 33:2-3

Wow! Seriously these verses are powerful. Well, what do I expect right? I mean our God is pretty amazingly powerful. So let’s see how Jeremiah 33:2-3 reads.

Jeremiah 33:2 – This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name:

Jeremiah 33:3 – Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

When you read those two verses, what did you immediately hear God telling you? Don’t forget to write the verses down, along with what God wanted you to know about these verses. Let’s talk about the verses a little further.

Bible Journaling Jeremiah 33:2-3

Like I mentioned above, wow! These are some powerful words, directly from our Lord to Jeremiah and I believe meant for every one of us. Jeremiah 33:2 – God reminds us, who He is, and what He’s done. He is the Lord and has created the universe and everything in it.

In Jeremiah 33:3 – God tells us to call on Him, and nothing only that but He also gives us reassurance that He will answer us. Not only will He answer us but He will show us great and mighty things that we do not know. Powerful words indeed.

Now for me, this opens up the door to think about some of God’s traits. He’s powerful, we all know that and reminded us. He created the Heavens and earth that’s pretty powerful.

He is also faithful, God promises that He will always do right by us. If we are walking in the Spirit and ask something of Him in prayer, He will answer it. There are plenty of testimonies of answered prayers, of course, we must remember He will answer us, but in His time.

He’s beyond our comprehension and wants to keep it that way. He tells us in Jeremiah 33:3 that He will answer and tell us things that we don’t know. We will never understand who He is completely. He often chooses to answer our prayers in ways we would never expect. He does good for us that we can’t see. This glorifies Him, as the only One worthy of praise.

We serve a wonderful, loving, powerful God. Never forget who God is, and on that remembrance, never cease to pray!

Some Bible Study Suggestions

I want to take a minute to explain the reason behind me always asking/suggesting the following things. When I ask what God, is saying to you on verses, it’s to help get you more intuned with the verse. To help you think about why God may have lead you to it, etc. Sometimes we don’t even realize God is speaking to us, and it helps to point it out once in a while that we need to be listening. It’s a reminder for us all, including myself.

When I suggest that you keep a war binder also called a faith journal it’s so you can note all the verses that God speaks to you on. Every bit of God’s truth is important but more so the ones He’s really making sure you’re aware of by speaking to you. It’s also a great gift to be able to pass along to a loved one later. Hopefully, that helps you understand my constant nagging on those two points.

Final Thoughts

We have an amazing God, that invites us to call out to Him. He promises to answer, not only with answers we understand but also, with things that are unknown to us.

Feel free to share this article with anyone you know that needs a reminder of God’s love for us. Also, follow along on PinterestInstagram, and Facebook too. You might also like to learn more about keeping a War Binder/Faith Journal a great Bible Study tool.
