Happy Monday! I know . . . I know Monday’s aren’t always that exciting! But didn’t you already hear that “There is always something to be thankful for.” Plus we got to set our clocks back an hour this weekend. How exciting is that! Anyways, today I am sharing my Bible Journaling Psalm 106:1 page and verse thoughts. I hope you’ve decided to join in on this Thankfulness Scripture reading & journaling plan. It would be so much fun to see some of the pages you’ve created too!
Bible Journaling Psalm 106:1 – The verse
Psalm 106:1 reads – Hallelujah! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.
Aah, here’s another verse that reminds us to be thankful. I love this season, even though it’s always a bit hectic it’s still my favorite time of year. Reflecting on the things I should be thankful for is so rewarding. So when you read this verse, did you immediately think of several things to thank God for?
Well, for me I whenever I see the word Hallelujah I get excited. It’s like a celebration goes off in my head. So, I think that the Psalmist writing this verse, wants us to know that about this verse.
For me, when I read, give thanks to the Lord, I thought of His mercy, grace, blessings and for being there for me always. Of course, there is so much more to be thankful for. Then as I read for he is good, I immediately thought of how good the Lord is to us. And lastly, his faithful love endures forever.
The Lord’s love is faithful, He’ll never stop loving you even when you’ve done something wrong. It can endure everything we could possibly toss His way. Not that I am saying that we should continually test Him, but if we did He’d still love us with faithful, enduring love. So remember, Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, his faithful love endures forever – Psalm 106:1
Bible Journaling Psalm 106:1
This page was the 3rd. page I’ve created in my Illustrated Faith Journaling Bible. For this page, I used a printout of the verse & date, a memorydex card I made, some scrap tissue paper, Illustrated Faith printables, a project life card, and I added a cute little tab at the top of the page.
So the first thing I did was rip up the tissue paper, and I began layering it on my page. Next, I added the project life card and on top of it all, I added the verse. I then added the little pink heart, fall leaves, and the verse label. There was a lot of white space at the bottom of the page, so I added a cute memorydex card I made for a thankful swap. On the card, I added the things I am thankful for.
Finished off the page with a printed out date strip at the bottom of the page. Then a cute tab on the top of the page. The below image has the notes I wrote in my bible or this verse. It doesn’t seem like a lot I know, but this verse sort of repeats itself in Psalm 107:1.
What did you learn from this verse, and what was God speaking to you? I hope you’ll join in and walk through this Thankfulness scripture plan with me. If you decide you want to make sure you use #thankfulness when you share your pages, study notes, etc.
I am thankful that God has led you here today.
