Good morning, afternoon, and evening! I am excited to say that I am now only 3 days behind on sharing my Dream Your Heart Out pages and thoughts. Woohoo! Anyways . . . Here’s my Day 10 Dream Your Heart Out page and notes from the message.
First, I am not even sure if I mentioned this. yet or not, but the main theme for this devotional is dreaming your heart out. You might have already gotten that idea from the title, but just in case. But there is also a biblical message – God’s truth to each message. Hopefully, I didn’t confuse you, but I’ll try to explain a little better as I share.
Say 10 Dream Your Heart Out
So today’s message is about the dreams in your heart and then praying your heart out to God about them. We then take the path of how even when we don’t see Him working on our dreams He is.
During our praying and waiting He’s working and doing things we don’t see. He’s building us into a person of endurance and character. There is also a suggestion that when we pray we ask Him to open our eyes to the ways He’s showing up. And to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.
I like the message but got more understanding of it once I added in the scripture that was included with today’s message. The one that really spoke to me was Psalm 17:6 CSB – I call on you, God, because you will answer me;
listen closely to me; hear what I say. This verse is a simple one but has so much meaning for me.
10 Day Dream Your Heart Out
For me, Psalm 17:6 speaks loud and clear about how we pray, and how God hears them.
Let me break it down a little and share how it made me feel. I call on you, God – for me this means: When I want to talk to God, spend time with God, I can. I feel confident that He is there for me anytime. The next part builds up my confidence even more so! because you will answer me; So now not only do I feel confident in speaking with God but now I am confident that He will answer me. How amazing is that?
Then the last two bits say: listen closely to me; hear what I say. This seems a tad bit bold to me, the tone seems like an order, and I am not about to order my God to do anything. But at the same time, I understand that it’s a plea from the Psalmist to God. I also know that God listens closely and hears everything I say to Him. So the next time you pray, do it bolding, and with confidence that He will answer and more importantly, He hears you.
Day 10 Dream Your Heart Out
Today’s page is another simple one. I printed out my thoughts, not as in-depth as I explained it here but more straight to the point. Then I added a couple of flowers at the edges of it, and a lady praying.
Day 10 Dream Your Heart Out
There was a time when I didn’t feel as confident as I do now that God hears me. Honestly, at the beginning of my walk with Him, I didn’t even think I was important enough for Him to listen, or answer. This mindset actually stole time away from the moments I spent with Him. I’d pray, but it wasn’t daily and they were little prayers.
As I spent more time with God, in His Word I grew in my faith. I learned that God loves me, even when I didn’t know Him as I do now, He was always there.
Then my trust in Him grew, I began to talk to Him more and more. And one day after pleading with Him for direction, He answered. He did it in a way that my one-track mind understood too.
I haven’t looked back to my life before my walk with Him started. Each day I am eager to learn more about Him, and praying is something that just comes naturally. And I know He hears me, and I know He’s always listening closely, and I know there is nothing that I can’t talk to Him about.
So I pray that you dream your heart out, and pray your heart out too! Because He’s listening to you too! We can always find comfort and peace when we spend time with God.
