Buffalo Plaid Pumpkin - Fall Dollar Tree Crafting

Fall Dollar Tree Crafting – Wooden Pumpkin

Posted on August 28, 2019April 29, 2020 by Debbie

Anyone else ready for Fall? Honestly, I can’t wait until I see the first Pumpkin Spice advertisement, cause this lady will be starting the Fall decorating. Either way, I’ve already started my Fall Dollar Tree Crafting. Have you gone shopping lately? Everything is Fall related and it’s gotten me hook line and sinker.

So everything but the fabric and a glue gun, in this craft can be bought at the Dollar Tree.

Fall Dollar Tree Crafting- Supplies

Fall Dollar Tree Crafting – Supplies

The supplies:

Wooden Pumpkin Cut-out – Dollar Tree Find
Ribbon – Dollar Tree Find
Mod Podge – Dollar Tree Find
Paint Brush – Dollar Tree Find
Scissors – Dollar Tree Find
Jute Twine – Dollar Tree Find
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Buffalo Plaid Fabric or Scrapbook Paper

Instructions:

Plugin your glue gun, and let it get hot. Once it’s hot put a thin line at the base of the stem, and place the end of the twine over it. Then wrap the twine around the stem, adding more glue to hold the twine in place. Continue this process until you reach the top of the stem. Cut off the end and secure in place with hot glue.

Next, you’re going to lay the pumpkin on top of your fabric, or scrapbook paper and trace it. Cut out 2 and set aside. Add a heavy layer of mod podge to one side of the pumpkin, place your fabric/scrapbook paper piece on top of the mod podge. Careful to line up the edges, starting at the middle use your palm to push out any wrinkles. Let dry and do the same thing to the other side.

You can add a ribbon to the stem or any other embellishment you’d like.

The above image shows how my buffalo plaid side turned out. On the opposite, I decided to go with another plaid colored scrapbook paper. In case I get bored with the one side I can turn it over and use the other side. You can also add a little saying like, thankful, grateful, blessed, happy fall y’all, etc.

If you’re looking for decals for your fall crafting, have a peek at my Etsy Shop – Clover Dew Decor I have tons of ready to ship decals.
