Hello Loves!! It’s the final day of our Friendship Bible Plan a little kick-off for my Bible Journal with Deb series. So glad you’ve joined me and hopefully you’ve found some inspiration in doing this. We start the October plan tomorrow. Click here for the printable of the plan.
Friendship Bible Plan
So our last verse for this plan is Proverbs 17:17 which reads: A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. – NIV Translation
What is God saying to you when you read this verse? Don’t forget to write it down and meditate on it. As I was working through this plan, I realized that there are so many verses that I love. I’ve added this one to that list.
Proverbs 17:17 really spoke to me. I had a friendship that no matter what we were there for one another. A friendship that I will cherish until the day we meet again in Heaven. I don’t think I’ve had a friendship that strong, that committed since then.
But this verse reminds me that I am capable of committing to a friendship. I believe that God wants me to step out and connect with other like-minded ladies. He’s giving me a little push, he’s telling to stop hiding, and to start being me.
He does work in mysterious ways, doesn’t he? How have you seen God working in your life? Have you just gotten up and done something, and later sit down and wonder what made you do it? Well, it’s a good possibility that it was God’s doing.
Proverbs 17:17 more of my thoughts
So I am a pretty quiet person, I tend to hang out in the sidelines hoping no one sees me. I talk when someone talks to me, and I am afraid of conversations. Mostly it’s because I am a thinker and I tend to analyze things too much.
But since I started my journey in a closer walk with God, I’ve grown. There are many changes I’ve noticed since I’ve been spending time with God. I’ve found myself carrying on conversations and not even worrying about it.
Then I’ve also started building friendships with neighbors, and even joined a woman’s bible study group.
I am growing and becoming the person God intended me to be. I am a work in progress and He’s still working on me. All the praises and glory goes to God, without Him I’d still be lost. There is another person, I can’t thank enough and that’s my sister-in-law. If she only knew the impact she had on me in July of 2018. I shared the story on my other blog which was hacked and stolen. One day I’ll share it again here.
Proverbs 17:17 – Journaling Page
This page was so much fun creating, I just started grabbing things and adding them to the page. I honestly don’t know how I came up with the idea of creating it.
The supplies I used, acrylic paints, printable stickers I got from a swap, a pink heart doily, puffy letter stickers from Dollar Tree, gesso for prepping, a little tag I had from something, and my black Tombow pen.
First I prepped the page with gesso, then I added some acrylic paints in coordinating colors of my stickers. When it was all dried I cut the edge off the doily and glued it to the side of my page. Next, I added the sticker girls and added the verse with the sticker letters. To finished up by adding the date and a tassel to the tag.
Friendship Bible Plan – Final Thoughts
I loved this little mini-series, there were so many verses that spoke to me. Some even screamed out at me. They are all great reminders of how we should act, treat others, and carry ourselves in a Godly fashion. No one is perfect and everyone needs a little reminder.
If you wonder if God loves you, or if you aren’t sure how/ where to find Him, or if you’re afraid your sins are too big. Stop wondering, start looking and read the verses below carefully because they are the answers.
God loves you –
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16
Seeking God –
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:13
Your sins –
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9
God has already proven His love of us, reread John 3:16. He’s also told us in Jeremiah 29:13 that if you seek Him with all your heart, you will find him. Finally, we’ve all sinned knowingly and unknowingly. But when we seek God’s, forgiveness, He will forgive us and wash us clean. This is stated in 1 John 1:9. All you have to do is ask God to come into your life, repent your sins and continue to seek Him, His words. Trust me those little steps are like leaping over mountains.
May you find the courage seek Him, ask for his forgiveness, and continually seek Him. – Amen
I hope you’ve been inspired to join in and my series Bible Journal with Deb. I love how my journaling bible is getting full of ways God has inspired me creatively.
